Role Summary

The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in driving the financial strategy and planning of the company.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring financial stability and profitability as the company scales.

Specific Functions/ Activities Summary
​

Financial Oversight: Direct and manage all aspects of accounting and finance operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Planning: Work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial models and forecasting tools.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and liquidity while managing AR/AP; identify and implement cost-saving measures to enhance financial efficiency and profitability.

Payroll and Benefits Management: Oversee payroll and benefits management, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, accurate and timely salary processing, and administration of employee benefits while coordinating with HR and conducting regular financial audits and reports.

Qualification

Residence in Columbus, Ohio

Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a consulting or training firm.

Strong understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in financial software such as QuickBooks.

Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

Experience in employee benefits preferred.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

CPA or CMA preferred.
